My memorization skills are weak. I never realized the decline would hit so soon! But I did realize that Aunty Rehman, the angel that taught me how to read the qur'an, deserves the best of both worlds. InshaAllah. I was trying to memorize some du'aas today, and noticed that I knew them already but they were wayyyyyyyyy back in my head. and it's cuz aunty taught me those along with everything else. I remember I used to sit on the floor in that specific corner where she would sew those gloves and 'supervise' our recitation. khehehe i also remember how she used to hit us if we were doin something weird. Qamer got it the most though. HAHAHAH. and so did my brother.... and I remember I was the one to always get him in trouble. hain hainn.
But Aunty Rehman has changed my world. I wonder what would have happened if my parents didn't send us there for babysitting. I always wonder about that, but alhamdullilah!!! She taught all three of us!
I went to visit her a couple o' times in the summer (which was really funny, cuz I ended up playing with her grandchild instead) and she was complaining how I should never bring anything next time I come. cuz you know... psshh someone that taught u how to read and u don't really visit too often and u're gonna go emptyhanded?! no way. but she said, "Buss mujhe aap ke du'aa chahiye, aur kuch nahin"
So... i'm spreading the word. Make du'aa for the prosperity, health and happiness for her and her family, and inshaAllah a high place in paradise. and smile at her or hug her whenever you see her!! She's an amazing person mashaAllah and surely the most important person in my life. :))
