Is today tomorrow or is tomorrow today?
My group and I have been pulling an all nighter and we're still stuck in this stuffy computer lab, which was warm the whole time and then suddenly felt cold at around 5 am. I went outside though at around 7:30 to repark my car and it's FRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZING!!!!!!! IT'S -24C TODAY!!! But when I got back into the room it was disgustingly hot again. Ew. We're all complaining that we have engineering grime on us. Anyhow, we all fell asleep at least once throughout the night... well only for like ... 1/2 an hour in our chairs but it still counts. I wish I had taken a picture of everyone in their various sleep modes; two were stretched out on three of those typical hard blue computer lab chairs, I hid under my jacket and put my head down on our huge pile of books, (I looked like a pile of jacket... with legs), and the others just kept nodding off in front of the computer. We all just had coffee though, the sun is up, and the early birds are back in business. It's actually strange watching these people that all had sleep last night. They seem to have...... energy! Anyhow, I'm feeling much better now that I had the coffee and I think I might just attempt to do my lab report that's due in about *looks at clock* 4 hours. Meanwhile my group members are still working at it and I'm just like, enh. *looks at them* Despite the fact that we are the most unproductive group, they taught me a lot. There are a lot of good people here, but get the hell out of engineering, fast.
Funny things that happened throughout the night:
-this crusty guy stumbled in at around 4 am trying to get work done. He kept on coming in and out and I thought he was just tired. All of a sudden I hear him talking to my group behind me saying in a real cracky voice, "Hey you guys, can you maybe stop talking, it's 5 in the morning, i'm really tired, and I can't concentrate, and I've been trying to write a report and..."
"Well, it really can't be avoided", says one group member, as he puts down his shoe that he was comparing with other group members' shoes.
-We had to take snapshots of each of us to put into the report. I guess as a break this one guy kept on modifying his picture to see what he looks like as a 'terrorist'. I don't know whether to laugh at this or not, but it was kinda funny, especially the bubble, and especially since everyone put it as the background on the computers. Check it.
-and there were more but we're all finally leaving now and that means i am too! alhamdullilah.
